Vintage Syrian Mosaic Inlaid Jewellery Box

A beautifully detailed vintage wooden jewellery or keepsake box decorated in traditional Syrian-style mosaic marquetry. The domed lid features intricate geometric star patterns formed from contrasting bone, dark wood and iridescent mother-of-pearl, while the front is finished with a brass keyhole plate and repeating geometric inlay.

Estimated to date from the 1960s–1980s. Presented in fair to good vintage condition with surface wear, small cracks and areas of missing or repaired inlay, particularly around the corners and edges. The key is not included. Faint smell of perfume.
