DESCRIPTION

The colors of this Suzani are incredible. Perfect piece to add some character to your space. The design on this piece is completely hand embroidered. Produced between the 1950s-1970s.. This would have originally been used in a yurt or to adorn the walls of a traditional home in Uzbekistan. Traditionally they were given as wedding gifts to bless the home of the newlyweds. In this case the blessing is in Cyrillic says "Youth, Life, Spring - Remembered" followed by the initials of the newlyweds. Such a sweet story for s gorgeous textile.

There are a few areas of the embroidery that are worn, but overall it is in good condition.
