A striking late-20th-century rattan and wood console table with matching pagoda-style mirror, finished in a deep tortoiseshell brown. The console features a gently serpentine front, turned legs, a central drawer with brass-tone hardware, and extensive hand-woven rattan panels across the top, drawer front and sides. The coordinating mirror has an unusually elaborate architectural crest with multiple turned finials, giving the set a distinctly Asian-inspired silhouette.

I would describe this as Southeast Asian, likely Philippine, circa 1970s–1980s rather than Chinese. Philippine workshops produced a great deal of this dark tortoiseshell-finished rattan furniture during this period, including Chinese Chippendale-inspired consoles; documented 1980s examples use very similar woven rattan construction and finish. The mirror's pagoda-inspired form also fits the broader mid-to-late-century fashion for Asian-influenced rattan interiors. There is some age-related wear, including a small area of loss to one rear corner of the console, shown in the photographs.

Console: 120 × 59 × 79 cm
Mirror: 82 × 106 cm
