Vintage Qashqai Gabbeh Wool Rug – 130 × 215 cm

A beautifully simple hand-knotted Persian Gabbeh rug, woven in thick wool with a warm camel-colored field surrounded by a geometric border in deep blue, brick red, cream and muted green. Small stylized animals and tree motifs are scattered throughout, giving the rug the wonderfully informal, expressive character associated with traditional Gabbeh weaving.

Likely dating to the late 20th century, the rug has a dense, substantial pile with natural variation in the wool and color throughout. It remains in very good vintage condition with light wear consistent with age and use.
