Vintage Persian Khatam Kari Framed Quranic Calligraphy – Surah Al-Qalam

A beautifully crafted vintage Persian artwork featuring verses 51–52 of Surah Al-Qalam from the Holy Quran, rendered in elegant Arabic calligraphy on an intricately decorated metal panel. These verses are traditionally associated with protection against the evil eye. The raised copper-toned lettering contrasts with a finely textured silver-colored background, surrounded by delicate floral motifs and an ornate oval border. The elaborate khatam kari frame features intricate geometric marquetry in rich, earthy tones.

Estimated to date from the late 20th century, circa 1970s–1990s, this piece combines traditional Persian craftsmanship with Arabic Quranic calligraphy. The frame retains its original glossy varnish, with minor signs of age and small handmade imperfections consistent with its vintage character.
