Vintage Japanese Oread Cobalt Blue Art Glass Vase, c. 1970s

A striking vintage Japanese art glass vase with its original Oread foil label, dating to around the 1970s. Oread-labelled glass from this period is associated with Japanese production and appears to have been sold under an importer/distributor label rather than representing one specific glassworks.

Made in rich cobalt blue and clear glass, the vase has a tall ribbed body with a sculptural pulled, ruffled rim that gives it a wonderful organic form. The original label remains intact, which is a particularly nice feature for collectors. Very good vintage condition with light age-related wear.
