Vintage Italian BHS Gooseneck Desk Lamp, c. 1980s

Description:
Vintage Italian desk lamp made for British Home Stores, dating approximately to the 1980s. Finished in white and black with chrome detailing, a flexible gooseneck and generously sized metal shade, it has a simple utilitarian design characteristic of late 20th-century European lighting. The underside retains its original BHS Made in Italy label, model 340 782; surviving examples of this model are attributed to Italian lighting maker Veneta Lumi.

Fully working, with adjustable neck and original base-mounted rocker switch. Light age-related wear and small marks are present throughout, adding to its vintage character. Measures approximately 33 × 30 cm as photographed.
