Vintage Indonesian Hand-Carved Hardwood Bench – 185cm

A substantial vintage Indonesian bench, hand-carved throughout with scrolling foliage, flowers, and traditional decorative motifs. The richly pierced back, carved front panels, sweeping arms, and generous 185cm width give the piece wonderful presence, while a discreet central drawer adds useful storage. Crafted from a heavy tropical hardwood, likely teak or a similar Indonesian hardwood, and probably dating to the mid-20th century.

The bench has a beautifully aged surface with variations in tone, small marks, wear, and evidence of older repairs consistent with its age and handmade construction. These have been left visible as part of the character of the piece rather than refinished away.
