An unusual vintage mechanical cigarette dispenser crafted from richly toned hardwood and decorated with an intricate mother-of-pearl inlay depicting a bearded, turbaned gentleman smoking from a traditional hookah. The engraved shell work is particularly attractive, with iridescent pieces forming the figure’s clothing and turban alongside contrasting green and red details. The architectural stepped base gives the piece a distinctly Art Deco-era appearance.
The upper section lifts to reveal the ingenious concealed dispensing mechanism, transforming what initially appears to be a decorative wooden box into a charming piece of vintage tobacciana.
