Vintage Hand-Painted Kuwaiti Textile Artwork – Custom Framed

A large original hand-painted textile artwork depicting two Kuwaiti women surrounded by traditional woven textiles and furnishings. Painted directly onto fabric in flowing washes of cream, navy, red and ochre, the work has a beautiful watercolor-like quality while capturing a distinctly Kuwaiti domestic scene.

The piece has been custom framed in a carved wooden frame with geometric detailing. Signed by the artist, although the signature has not been identified. There are a few subtle areas of moisture-related variation to the fabric; these are relatively unobtrusive within the naturally fluid painted surface.
