Vintage Chinese Silk Embroidery with Bird & Blossoms

A beautifully presented vintage Chinese textile panel featuring a finely embroidered bird perched among flowering branches, bamboo leaves and stylized rockwork. Worked in lustrous blue, turquoise, cream and coral threads against a warm copper-toned silk ground, the embroidery is surrounded by a floral ribbon border and richly patterned silk brocade. The generous ivory mat and simple black frame give the traditional textile a clean, contemporary appearance.

Based on the materials, stitching and decorative brocade, I would conservatively date the panel to the mid-to-late 20th century, approximately 1950s–1970s. Similar bird-and-flower silk panels with brocade borders are commonly attributed to the 1940s through the second half of the 20th century.
