Vintage Chinese Silk Embroidery – Pavilion Beneath a Willow Tree

A beautifully framed vintage Chinese embroidered textile depicting a traditional pavilion beside water beneath a graceful willow tree, with a red sun, distant birds and stylized clouds completing the tranquil landscape. Fine multicoloured stitching stands out dramatically against the black ground, surrounded by layered woven and brocade borders in muted blue, ivory and rust.

Likely dating from the mid-20th century, approximately the 1950s–1970s, the textile has been custom framed beneath glass with a wide ivory mount and simple black frame. A wonderfully decorative piece that combines traditional Chinese textile work with a clean presentation suited to both contemporary and collected interiors.

Condition: Good vintage condition with light age-related creasing and minor irregularities to the original textile. The frame and glass show light signs of previous use.
