Vintage Chinese Gold-Leaf Bird & Lotus Porcelain Vase

A striking late-20th- to early-21st-century Chinese porcelain vase with a rounded body, flared black neck and richly reflective gold-leaf finish. The vase is decorated with lotus leaves, flowering branches and a small perched bird in soft shades of sage green, lavender, cream and blue. The underside retains its original Made in China inspection label and a label identifying it as intended for decorative use only.

Presented in visibly aged vintage condition. There are several small chips along the flared upper rim, minor losses around the foot and scattered chips to the painted decoration. The gold-leaf surface has noticeable scuffing, fine scratches, rubbing and small areas of loss throughout, all clearly photographed. These imperfections are most apparent under bright light but do not detract from its strong decorative presence. Porcelain. Approximately 23 cm wide × 33 cm high.
