Vintage Brass & Enamel Panjtan Devotional Wall Plate

A striking vintage brass wall plate with polychrome enamel decoration and Arabic calligraphy. At the center is the name Allah, surrounded by the names Muhammad, Ali, Fatima, Hasan and Husayn—the five figures commonly known as the Panjtan and especially prominent within Shi'a devotional tradition. Additional calligraphic panels encircle the outer border, all picked out in deep red, cobalt blue, ivory and gold tones.

Likely Persian or South Asian, mid-to-late 20th century, approximately 1960s–1980s. The reverse retains its integrated hanging loop for wall display. Light surface wear, patination and small losses to the decorative finish are consistent with its age and give the piece a particularly attractive vintage character.
