Vintage Aerial Photograph of Kuwait City, Circa 2005

A striking large-format aerial view of Kuwait City and its surrounding districts, captured during a period of rapid urban expansion in the mid-2000s. The image records the city before several major areas had reached their present form, with much of South Surra still under development and the site of The Avenues appearing to be in an early construction phase.

The vivid contrast between the deep blue Gulf, dense coastal neighbourhoods and open desert makes this both an important visual record of Kuwait’s recent history and a powerful decorative piece. Presented in a simple black frame with a wide white mount.
