Vintage Adjustable Task Lamp with Woven Cane Shade | c. 1990s–2000s

A wonderfully sculptural adjustable desk or table lamp, combining a silver-toned metal spring-balanced articulated armwith a warm woven cane shade. The arm can be raised, lowered and angled considerably, while the shade itself pivots to direct the light. The contrast between the industrial metal framework and natural cane gives it a great contemporary look—somewhere between modernist task lighting and relaxed 1970s-inspired interiors.

Likely dating to the late 1990s or early 2000s. The substantial weighted circular base has a linear textured surface, with exposed springs and mechanical joints forming part of the design. Light age-related wear is visible to the metal finish. The woven shade presents beautifully and casts a particularly warm patterned light when illuminated.
