Side Table with Handmade Tile AlArfaj Flower Design by Hamid AlJassim

A one-of-a-kind mosaic side table created in collaboration with an emerging Kuwaiti artist specializing in handcrafted tile furniture. The tabletop features a bold geometric interpretation of the Al Arfaj flower, a native desert bloom closely associated with Kuwait and currently appearing in public expressions of support for the country’s troops.

Each tile has been individually cut, arranged, and set by hand, transforming a simple metal-framed table into a distinctive piece of functional art. The warm yellow flower motif is framed by soft turquoise tiles and decorative borders, giving the piece a joyful, distinctly regional character.

This collaboration reflects our commitment to working with artists and makers in Kuwait and helping promote the country’s growing artistic and creative scene. Although the artist is at the beginning of his practice, his craftsmanship, precision, and eye for design are already clearly evident.
