Handmade Fused Glass Art Plates – 24 cm

Colorful handmade fused-glass decorative plates, each individually formed with its own design: a bold blue-and-yellow concentric evil-eye inspired motif, a playful school of fish, and a clear plate scattered with multicolored glass tesserae around the border. The visible bubbles, slight surface variations and irregular edges are characteristic of kiln-fused studio glass and give each piece an individual handmade quality. The blue-and-yellow design strongly references the Mediterranean/Turkish nazar tradition, although without a maker’s mark I would avoid assigning a specific country of manufacture. Comparable contemporary fused-glass plates are produced as decorative studio pieces, including Turkish nazar examples.

Each measures approximately 24 cm diameter. Presented in good overall condition with the natural irregularities associated with handmade fused glass. I would describe these as late 20th to early 21st century unless you have provenance establishing greater age. Since we cannot confirm whether the glass or pigments were manufactured to modern food-safety standards, I would market them primarily as decorative plates, display pieces or catchalls.
