Set of Three Antique 1841 Persian Lady Engravings in Vintage Khatam Kari Frames

A remarkable set of three authentic French engravings dating to 1841, each depicting a Persian woman in an intimate interior scene during the Qajar era. Delicately rendered in fine black linework, the portraits capture richly dressed figures surrounded by traditional furnishings, musical instruments and decorative objects.

Imported to Kuwait from France, the engravings have been custom framed in a coordinated trio of vintage repurposed Persian khatam kari frames. The intricate geometric inlay creates a striking connection between the European historical prints and the artistic traditions of Iran, transforming the group into a distinctive and highly decorative collection.

The engravings retain visible signs of age, including areas of staining, discolouration and small imperfections consistent with works nearly two centuries old. These details contribute to their authentic antique character.
