Pair of Early Chrome Falcon Lounge Chairs by Sigurd Ressell for Vatne Møbler

A striking matching pair of high-back Falcon lounge chairs, designed by Norwegian designer Sigurd Ressell for Vatne Møbler in the early 1970s.

These desirable early examples feature polished chrome frames and suspended dark brown leather seats. The hammock-style construction allows the chairs to gently cradle the body, while the padded headrests, tufted cushions and generous armrests make them exceptionally comfortable.

The original leather has developed a rich vintage patina with natural creasing, tonal variation and light signs of use. Combined with the reflective chrome frames, the chairs have a bold sculptural presence without feeling visually heavy.
