Neoclassical Black Iron Bench with Brass Arrow Detailing

A beautifully constructed two-seat bench featuring a substantial black iron frame, repeating oval strapwork, curled arms and a strong slatted seat. Brass-finished arrows, circular medallions and the twisted lower stretcher add warmth and refinement to the sculptural design. Its weight, welded construction and carefully balanced symmetry make it an impressive piece for an entrance, covered patio, garden room or interior seating area.

An identical example is currently listed by an international design dealer for US$3,500 and attributed to the 1950s. Because this bench is unmarked, I would conservatively describe it as mid- to late 20th century rather than guarantee the earlier date.
