Description:
Traditional Kuwaiti chest attributed to the style of the dhow makers of Kuwait. This is likely a piece that was made by a dhow maker in the middle of the 20th century when the actually construction of these traditional vessels started declining. This piece is made of plywood and hence why I would give it a folk art designation. Folk art is often made from the left overs of construction materials or even basic household materials. This piece is Lovely in its raised construction.
17cm by 20cm by 28cm
Condition note: Definitely a bit of wear on the piece, but overall it is in good condition. There is some glue residue on the inside of the box.
