An impressive early 20th-century Indian storage chest, circa 1900–1940, constructed in wood and extensively reinforced with decorative iron strapping. The chest features hand-worked geometric detailing, large traditional iron hasps, original wooden wheels, a lower drawer, and interior storage compartments. Its monumental proportions and richly aged surfaces make it an exceptional statement piece for use as storage, a console, or simply as a decorative object.
The chest retains a beautiful, timeworn patina with expected wear consistent with its age. Some areas of old pest activity are visible, particularly around the lower portions; the entire piece has since been treated. Small losses, surface wear, and irregularities remain part of its aged character and are shown in the photographs.

Age: Circa 1900–1940
