Description

A striking antique handwoven Qashqai kilim from the Fars Province of southwest Iran, featuring bold tribal geometry in warm terracotta, indigo, ivory, and saffron tones.

The design is composed of horizontal bands of large octagonal medallions framed by intricate borders, a layout characteristic of Qashqai tribal weaving. The finely detailed reciprocal border and patterned end panels (skirts) further confirm its origin within the Qashqai weaving tradition.

This piece has recently been professionally cleaned and expertly repaired, and is now in excellent condition for its age. The original fringed ends and handwoven character have been preserved, giving the rug both authenticity and presence.

Lightweight yet durable, this kilim can be used on the floor or as a large-scale wall textile.
