Antique Japanese Imari Scalloped Plate – Floral & Auspicious Motif Design, c. 1870–1900 – 22 cm

A decorative antique Japanese Imari/Arita porcelain plate, which I would conservatively date to the late 19th century, c. 1870–1900. Measuring 22 cm diameter, it has a scalloped rim and richly hand-painted decoration in iron red and cobalt blue with small green enamel accents, centred around a flowering vase and surrounded by dense floral ornament and three auspicious cartouches. The reverse carries simple underglaze-blue decoration. Condition: Repaired break visible across the reverse and through the body. It is therefore being sold as-is and for decorative/display use only. Please review the photographs carefully for the condition and repair. The brass-tone spring plate hanger shown is included.
