A charming early 19th-century English drabware plate featuring a delicate sepia-toned illustration of a mother and child playing shuttlecock, after a design associated with Regency artist Adam Buck. The central scene is surrounded by beautifully moulded grapevine leaves, finished in a vibrant green glaze against a warm cream background. Dating to approximately 1810–1825 (estimated), this decorative plate is a lovely surviving example of Regency-era English pottery.
The plate displays attractive signs of its considerable age, including gentle glaze crazing and surface wear. A previous repair is visible on the reverse, preserving this delicate piece for continued decorative enjoyment.
