Antique 1935 King George V & Queen Mary Silver Jubilee Commemorative Bowl

An English earthenware commemorative bowl produced by C.W.S. Longton for the 1935 Silver Jubilee of King George V and Queen Mary. The colourful central design features photographic portraits of the royal couple, heraldic animals, flags representing Britain and the Commonwealth, early aircraft and ships, surrounded by a delicate floral border and gilt rim. The C.W.S. Longton mark identifies the maker as the Co-operative Wholesale Society’s pottery operation in Longton, Staffordshire.

Dating precisely to 1935, this piece is approximately 91 years old. The glaze displays extensive age-related crazing, with scattered marks and noticeable wear to the gilt rim, but no obvious chips or major cracks.
