Chapters cover old Kuwait, the waterfront, shopping, Jahra, the oilfields, the desert and the changing life of the Bedouin, accompanied by numerous period photographs.

A particularly attractive copy retaining its original purple dust jacket, with only light wear around the edges. The orange cloth binding is very clean and the interior appears exceptionally well preserved.
