H.R.P. Dickson’s important study of Bedouin life in Kuwait and Arabia, published by George Allen & Unwin in 1967. Richly illustrated with historic photographs, diagrams, maps and genealogical material documenting tribal customs, dress, camel culture, geography and everyday life across Kuwait and the Arabian Peninsula.

This copy retains its striking original illustrated dust jacket and numerous folding maps and charts, including material relating to Kuwait, Failaka Island, Riyadh, tribal Arabia and the Al Sabah family. Particularly appealing is its original “The Family Bookshop – Kuwait” bookseller label and a handwritten ownership inscription dated Kuwait, 1971, giving the book genuine local provenance. The dust jacket shows expected wear, chipping and small tears around the edges, while the book itself and folding material remain in good overall condition for its age.
