1960s Italian Rattan Magazine Rack – Attributed to Vivai del Sud

Sculptural Italian mid-century magazine rack in bamboo and rattan, attributed to Vivai del Sud, circa 1960s. The beautifully curved frame supports a wide spiral-woven cradle, finished with an integrated handle and distinctive looped feet. A wonderfully graphic piece of Italian Riviera design, equally suited for magazines, books or throws.

Measures approximately 62 × 30 × 50 cm. Good vintage condition with warm age-related patina and expected wear. There is a small section that appears to have some slight burn damage. Some of the original rattan bindings have been sympathetically reinforced using modern reproduction binding material.
