Each has a richly mottled surface of rust orange, turquoise blue, cream and warm brown, created throughout the molded material rather than simply printed onto the surface. This colorful “confetti” or spatterware look was particularly popular in mid-century kitchenware. Comparable melamine pieces from the period show very similar construction and finishes. \u003cspan class=\"contents\"\u003e\u003cspan class=\"\"\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBoth bowls retain a molded maker’s mark to the base, although I haven’t been able to confidently identify the manufacturer and would leave the attribution open rather than guess.
