Measuring \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e22 cm diameter\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, the scalloped plate is hand-painted in iron red, cobalt blue and an especially attractive turquoise-green enamel, with a central floral arrangement surrounded by alternating blossoms, birds and large stylized auspicious character panels. The reverse carries freely painted underglaze-blue motifs typical of Japanese decorative porcelain of this general period.
